Role Summary
- You will help schools in East Lothian get more children and staff to walk, wheel, or cycle.
- You work 18.75 hours each week, with some work from home.
- This is a fixed job until March 2027, maybe longer.
- You get paid £29,835 a year, but less because it's part-time.
Key Tasks
- Run fun activities and events about active travel.
- Work well with schools, community groups, and local councils.
- Help and support volunteers.
- Carry and set up bikes and equipment at schools.
- Work both indoors and outdoors, sometimes lifting and moving things.
Skills And Experience
- At least 3 years working with groups in the community.
- Know about active travel like walking, wheeling, and cycling.
- Able to lead groups and explain things clearly.
- Understand how to keep children and adults safe.
- Have a full UK driving licence and car to move between schools.
Pay And Hours
- Part-time, 18.75 hours each week.
- Pay is £29,835 per year (pro-rata for part-time).
- Flexible working hours can be discussed.
Location And Workplace
- Work in schools across East Lothian.
- Sometimes work from home when not in schools.
- Must travel between schools with your own vehicle.
