Role Summary
- You will lead projects that help people walk, wheel, and cycle safely.
- You will work with Network Rail and the Walk, Wheel, Cycle Trust.
- You will make sure property and asset questions are handled well.
- This is a full-time job, fixed until January 2029.
- You can work in Manchester or Birmingham and can ask for flexible hours.
Key Tasks
- Help teams in both organisations work well together.
- Give advice on National Rail property and asset safety rules.
- Support partners to deliver active travel schemes.
- Promote walking, wheeling, and cycling as travel options.
- Work on projects that improve the railway and communities.
Skills And Experience
- Knowledge of Network Rail’s property and safety rules.
- Degree or similar in Transport Planning, Engineering, or related areas.
- Experience in rail projects and delivering new ideas.
- Able to work safely with children and adults at risk.
- Friendly, open to learning, and works well with others.
Pay And Hours
- Salary is £43,191 a year (pro rata if part-time).
- Full-time is 37.5 hours each week.
- Flexible working is available.
- 28 days holiday plus bank holidays.
