Role Summary
- The Chair will lead a new group called the Adult Social Care Negotiating Body (ASCNB).
- This body will make the first Fair Pay Agreement for adult social care workers.
- The Chair will report to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care.
- They will make sure the group works well and meets its goals.
Key Tasks
- Lead and guide the ASCNB.
- Help members agree on fair pay for care workers.
- Make sure meetings include all important views, like local councils and the NHS.
- Communicate decisions to the government and others.
- Ensure the group follows rules and works fairly.
Skills And Experience
- Have leadership experience in public, private, or voluntary sectors.
- Know how to lead a national public group well.
- Make good decisions based on facts and information.
- Be a good communicator and listener.
- Understand how pay affects worker motivation and keeping jobs.
- Know about adult social care or work negotiation is a plus.
Pay And Hours
- You will be paid £550 per day.
- The job needs about 20 days per year.
- The appointment can last up to 3 years.
Location And Workplace
